Jade began her training at the age of 5 at the Hilda Easton School of Dance and continued at the Glenda Yee School of Dance. As a young performer she developed a love of musical theatre performing lead roles with amateur musical societies and also appearing on kids television shows and films. You may be surprised to hear that she was the voice singing the title song on the ‘New Adventures of Skippy’. Jade worked as a professional performer whilst completing her five year Arts/Law Degree at Sydney University. She was a resident dancer for Triple Treat Promotions, Six Pak Productions and Popset Ltd performing in cabaret shows, cheer squads, corporate gigs and pantomimes.
She worked for Conrad and Co as a compere/dancer for many years at many major events including a tour of Singapore/Manila with the ‘Space Jam’ show and for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Her choreography credits include “Play Along With Sam” and “Slimefest” on the Nickelodeon Chanel, major corporate event launches, state of origin and grand final football entertainment, professional production shows, syllabus choreography for associations and of course dance studio routines that have won at the most prestigious competitions throughout Sydney. Just recently she has enjoyed her work as Vice President of Project Dance and her choreographic work with the Lil Banditz Krew and Young Talent Time National Tour.
Jade has been the Principal of Planetdance for 13 years and has been teaching for more than 20 years. Over that time she has seen numerous students pursue their careers in the Entertainment Industy and she finds her greatest enjoyment in providing the pathway that enables so many of them to live their dreams as professional performers. She is proud to have built Planetdance into one of Sydney’s leading dance schools.
