A playful preschool introduction to AcroDance, with guided activities that build flexibility, strength and body control.

The program, explained
Ready Set Acro is an acrobatic dance program created specifically for preschoolers in collaboration with Acrobatic Arts. It combines original music, lyrical cues and a structured class approach to introduce AcroDance foundations. Teachers guide children through age-appropriate progressions, with three connected areas at the centre of the program: Stretch, Strength and Skills.
This is a preschool foundations class. Skills are introduced progressively, with teachers guiding each child's learning according to their readiness.

Inside the class
A structured class gives children familiar activities to return to, with opportunities to practise new movements in an engaging, supportive setting.

Age-appropriate activities help children explore flexibility and range of motion across the major muscle groups, with guidance from their teacher.
Playful exercises build physical strength, stability and control: foundations that support children as they learn new movements.
Children explore a range of AcroDance foundations through progressive learning. Listening, taking turns and participating with others are part of the class experience too.
Original music with lyrical cues helps guide activities. Rainbow ribbons, beanbags, Acro dots and station cards make movement playful while supporting coordination and motor skills.
Why it matters
Learning where to place their hands and feet helps children become more aware of their bodies and the space around them. Holding a balance or moving between stations gives them practice in control and coordination. Waiting for a turn, following a short instruction and trying again are practical experiences they can recognise in other group activities and active play.
Guided movement helps children practise balance, stability and coordinated actions.
Learning one manageable step at a time gives children opportunities to feel proud of their progress.
Shared activities offer practice in listening, taking turns and encouraging classmates.
The program emphasises safe, effective progressions. Teachers guide activities and introduce skills when children are ready, keeping the focus on foundations, enjoyment and participation. Reception can help you choose a suitable preschool session.
