Enjoyment with real learning
Students work on foundations and apply them through combinations and choreography. Teachers adapt the challenge to the class, encouraging dancers to improve while welcoming those who are learning something new.
Choose a style. Or try a combination.
Mini and Pre Junior can explore Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop in one Combo class. The Jazz and Hip Hop Combo is available for Pre Junior and Junior. Standalone styles vary by school year; use the timetable to find the current options.

Progress worth celebrating
We recognise skill development and the way children participate in class. Student of the Month celebrates individual achievements and positive contributions.
From the studio to the stage
Watching opportunities and performances let families see what students have been learning. The optional mid-year performance is an informal opportunity; the end-of-year concert is a central part of the recreational experience. Enquiry information explains preparation and participation expectations.
A place to keep dancing
Students can continue in Recreational for years, exploring more styles as their interests grow. Performance Troupe is another option for dancers seeking a different commitment. Acting and Singing are additional classes through Scene & Song.
A few common
questions.
Can an older beginner join?
Yes. Recreational classes welcome school-aged beginners, with teaching that helps them develop from their starting point.
Can we start during the year?
Mid-year beginners are welcome, subject to a suitable place. Teachers help new dancers catch up and settle into the group.
Can my child take one class?
Yes. Some dancers choose one class; others enjoy several styles or back-to-back sessions.
Does my child have to move into troupe later?
No. Recreational dance is a valuable long-term choice. Our team can discuss other options if your child’s interests change.
