Confidence | Coordination | Creativity
Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Singing and Music come together in a playful dance program for children aged 2–5.

The program, explained
Ready Set Dance is a preschool combo class that brings Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Singing and Music into one lively, imaginative experience. Original songs, playful choreography and familiar routines keep children engaged as they discover what their bodies can do. Designed for boys and girls aged 2–5, the multilevel program builds the three Cs: confidence, coordination and creativity.
Planetdance offers different session formats, including afternoon classes without Tap. Check the timetable or ask reception which format suits your child.

Inside the class
Each part of the program gives children a different way to move, listen and express themselves. The activities feel like play, with skills introduced through repetition and imagination.

Energetic movement develops strength, control and balance. Children practise coordination milestones such as jumping and skipping through age-appropriate dance activities.
Original tracks and fun moves with Freeze encourage children to find the beat, explore rhythm and enjoy moving with confidence.
Splashing in imaginary puddles and shuffling like a penguin introduce tap foundations in a playful way. Available in sessions that include Tap.
Songs and pretend microphones invite children to use their voices, develop their musical ear and enjoy expressing themselves.
Instruments, original songs and parachute activities help children explore rhythm, tempo and dynamics while listening and moving together.
Why it matters
The skills practised in dance have familiar, everyday connections. Listening for the start of a song is practice in responding to a cue. Remembering a short sequence uses the same follow-one-step-then-another thinking children use in group activities. Taking a turn with a prop gives them a chance to share space and participate with others.
Joining in with a favourite song, showing a new move or trying an unfamiliar activity can become a small moment of pride.
Jumping, balancing and moving to a beat give children opportunities to practise the body control they use in active play.
Pretend play, musical expression and imaginative movement make room for each child's own ideas.
Children are encouraged to join in at their own pace in a welcoming group environment. Our trained Ready Set Dance teachers use music, props and encouragement to make learning enjoyable, with plenty of room for different personalities and growing confidence.
