Do I need any prior dance experience to join?

No prior experience is required! Our Recreational Dance classes are designed for beginners and those looking to have fun while dancing. We welcome all skill levels, and our experienced instructors will guide you every step of the way.
What age groups do you offer Recreational Dance classes for?

We offer classes for students in Kindy - Year 1. Classes are divided into age groups to ensure that your child is learning with others of similar age and ability. Mini (Kindy - Year 1) Pre-Junior (Year 2 - Year 3) Junior (Year 4 - Year 6) Pre-Teen (Year 7 - Year 9) Teen (Year 9 - Year 12)
Can my child try a class before enrolling?

Yes! We offer trial classes for new students. This is a great way for your child to experience the class and see if it’s the right fit for them. You can book a trial class by contacting us at info@planetdancemenai.com.au or by calling 0456 778 867.
What is the registration process like?

Enrolling in classes is easy! Simply visit our online enrollment page to sign up. You’ll need to complete the registration form and pay the annual registration fee. If you're unsure, we recommend booking a trial class first.
Is there an annual concert?

Yes, we host an annual concert that gives all students the opportunity to perform and showcase what they’ve learned. Although participation is not compulsory, it is highly encouraged as it's a fun and rewarding experience. The concert is a fantastic way to build confidence and celebrate the hard work students have put in throughout the year. While participation in our end-of-year concert is optional, costumes are required if your child chooses to perform. Each class that participates in the concert will require a costume, and there is a costume levy to cover the cost. The levy is paid in installments over the year.
What if we miss a class?

Unfortunately, we do not offer make-up classes for missed sessions, as we are unable to accommodate scheduling changes. If a class is canceled by Planetdance, we will arrange a make-up session.
What should my child wear to class?

Students are required to wear the official Planetdance uniform, which can be purchased through our studio. The uniform helps students feel like part of the Planetdance community and encourages a sense of pride in their dancing. Each dance style also has specific shoe requirements (e.g., pink leather ballet shoes for Ballet, tan Jazz shoes for Jazz, etc.).
Can I pay for classes on a payment plan?

Yes! We offer flexible payment plans through Auto Pay, where you can set up weekly, fortnightly payments. This option helps make paying for dance classes more manageable. Payments can also be made at reception or through the online portal.
What if my child has special needs or medical conditions?

At Planetdance, we are committed to ensuring that all students can enjoy dance in a safe environment. If your child has any medical conditions or special needs, please inform us so we can tailor their experience and ensure their safety.
